Children of Mu - YA Fantasy Enters Pre-order!

On the 1st of December 2017, Italian writer Daniele Azara joined the Luna family with his debut YA Fantasy, Children of Mu.

It was also our first experience of foreign rights acquisition and, as well as gaining the talented Daniele, we also established a lasting relationship with Astro Edizioni, run by Francesca Costantino. I must say, working with another Roman Francesca, who is also running a press, makes it quite special too!

Translating a manuscript from another language is quite a task, constantly checking that you remain true to the author's voice, rather than your own, while at the same time catering for an English speaking audience. Our translators and editors did us proud, and today we are thrilled to announce the pre-order phase for Children of Mu.

The book will be released on Thursday 18th of April at Eastercon Ytterbium, where Daniele will share the book party launch with another our own, Elizabeth Priest, who is releasing the second book in the Troutespond Series, The Changeling's Choice.

Children of Mu is an adventurous urban fantasy, delving into the mythology of Atlantis and Mu, with themes of loss, friendship, honour and sacrifice.

Daniele told us:

"CoM was born to answer a single question: why are human beings the only unhappy animal on Earth? Studying anthropology, I knew that the answer lay in the continuous battle between nature and culture.

As a professional creative, I just decided to re-write history in order to give a personal answer to it. The result is a realistic-fantasy book in which our everyday life is ruled by forces we aren't able to understand. And it's all about human beings, nature, and all the mysteries from our past that scientists can't explain."

You can pre-order the book in our store and have it shipped for free at Eastercon! Also, if you subscribe to our newsletter, before the 1st of February, you will find an extra discount voucher to use on the already discounted pre-order price.
